BIT BY BIT

BIT BY BIT

“Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase” (Job 8:7).

A century is made of hundred decades with a decade having ten years. Each of the years consists of 365 or366 days, which develop into weeks and months day by day. A century therefore, comes to be through a day at a time.

Great tasks can similarly be done bit by bit, a day at a time. An ancient maxim states, “A step after another, the longest journey is ended”. Do not be scared at any time by big or difficult tasks in your success pursuit. Learn to attempt your work a small portion at a time. A textbook with 300 pages can be thoroughly studied in a month if you attempt ten pages per day.

This is the usual strategy of great achievers. Wisdom is displayed when you break your work into small parts that you can finish at a time. A conscientious commitment to achieve your goals bit by bit according to plan will make the latter end to greatly increase. Never despise the day of small beginning. Let your work be done little by little, and you will rejoice at the end with a good achievement

.

Challenge: Success comes by taking one step at a time

Prayer: Dear heavenly Father, help me to be consistent to do my work step by step.

Sinful Compliance

Sinful Compliance

TEXT: EZEKIEL 20:27-38

Key verse: Wherefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord God;

Are ye polluted after the manner of your fathers? and commit ye whoredom after their abominations?” (Ezekiel 20:30).

It is a great aggravation of sin when men will not take warning by the fearful consequences of sin in those that have gone before them. It is blasphemy against God to speak reproachfully of his judgment, as if they were of no significance and were not worth regarding. Israel had broken His precept by their abominable idolatries. God had commanded them to destroy all the monuments of Idolatry so that they might not be tempted to desert His sanctuary instead of destroying them, they fell in love with them. They offered sacrifices and made their sweet savor which ought to have been given to God’s altar only.

There is no shaking of God’s dominion: those who will not yield to the power of His grace shall sink under the power of His wrath. The more we know of God’s holiness, the more we see how hateful the nature of sin is. Those who remain unaffected by the power of grace and live without Christ may be sure it is the way to destruction.

Repentance is the total turning away from every form of modern day idols as typified in worship of money, fashion, tradition, entertainment and worldly position. And we must surrender our lives to Christ Jesus. If you would make up your mind and pray now, the Lord will forgive your sins and receive you.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Life without Christ is empty.
